The Arrowverse is about to see the debut of one of Batman’s coolest villains in his rogues gallery. Victor Fries, better known as Mister Freeze by many, has had a variety of chilling portrayals in prior media with such actors like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Nathan Darrow taking on the role in live-action productions. However, a new actor or actress is about to don the cryogenic suit as we’ll be seeing a supervillain with a frosty disposition make their way into Gotham City.
LEFT OUT IN THE COLD - An unfortunate incident in downtown Gotham alerts Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) and the Bat Team that another missing trophy has made its way into the wrong hands. Meanwhile, a new member of the Jet family surfaces when Marquis Jet (Nick Creegan) makes a not-so-subtle entrance, interrupting a very personal moment between Ryan and Jada (Robin Givens). Back on the streets, cryogenics is the name of the game and Sophie (Meagan Tandy) reminds everyone she’s a badass, especially in the middle of life-threatening situations. Batwing (Camrus Johnson) must decide if he’s ready to suit up again, and at Mary’s (Nicole Kang) clinic, the Hippocratic Oath forces a strained sisterly moment between Alice (Rachel Skarsten) and the new doc. Greg Beeman directed the episode written by Nancy Kiu (#303). Original airdate 10/27/2021.
Based on this intriguing episode description, we’re bound to see a new, exciting take on the classic Batman villain in some capacity in this episode. The rise of the Jet family is sure to bring new predicaments to the table as well, along with Luke’s quandaries with being Batwing. With the stakes being raised higher this season with old threats returning like the Mad Hatter and Poison Ivy, the Bat Team will have to push themselves further in order to keep Gotham City safe from these malevolent marauders.
