DCTV NYCC Roundup

New York Comic Con 2022 was certainly exhilarating to say the least as multiple announcements were made during this yearly event for all fans of pop culture. DC Comics’ television department was a prevalent franchise at this year's NYCC as new content was released ranging from trailers to costume reveals. We're here to break down the most enticing announcements today and we have plenty to discuss!

First, a Harley Quinn Valentine's Day special is in the works at HBO Max. Titled “Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine's Day Special”, the holiday special will feature Harley and Ivy celebrating their very first Valentine’s Day together, while also revealing how the rest of the ragtag crew spends “the gushiest, mushiest, most romantic day of the year”. Coming fresh off a fourth season renewal, we'll be getting plenty of Harley Quinn content in the near future.

Next, The fourth season of Doom Patrol got its first trailer and a release date was revealed as well. Doom Patrol season four will debut with two episodes December 8, 2022 on HBO Max, followed by one episode weekly through January 5. An additional six new episodes from season four will be released in 2023. The teaser trailer down below hints at a whole new fiasco for our titular team of ragtag misfits to take on, Doom Patrol stars Brendan Fraser, Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby, Matt Bomer, and Joivan Wade.

Finally, Titans season four dropped an exclusive sneak preview at NYCC alongside our first look at Beast Boy’s new outfit! The costume itself is sleeker than his usual attire, but keeps the red-white color scheme of his everyday clothes. A teaser was also revealed, along with a sneak peek scene that featured the debut of Titus Welliver as Lex Luthor. Titans will debut with two episodes November 3, 2022 on HBO Max, followed by one episode weekly through December 1. An additional six new episodes from season four will be released in 2023. The series stars Brenton Thwaites, Anna Diop, Teagan Croft, Ryan K. Potter, and Joshua Orpin.
