The next Arrowverse show to get the comic treatment is Superman & Lois. Here we have one main story and two shorter stories that really dive into the heart and soul of the main characters, and Clark especially. The main story shows how Clark and Lois have had many obstacles throughout their lives, touching an important milestone: their anniversary. What's really nice to see is that the story puts both of them as busybodies who are trying to help out the world in their own ways. Too often we've seen Lois as the one being stood up, but in this case, she too has had to forgo a dinner celebration to help take down Intergang, and Clark's best intentions being waysided by Lobo.
The comic in its entirety takes place mostly in the past, with the anniversary story showing a glimpse of the present with Jonathan and Jordan asking why their parents celebrate their wedding anniversary four days after the fact. The second story tackles Clark's love for journalism and doing the right thing, how beliefs instilled firmly by his dad on Earth helped to shape him. Clark wonders how the late Jonathan Kent would react knowing that Clark became a journalist, and whether he'd be proud of both of his accomplishment in the paper, and as a public hero. It's a very sweet and emotional journal, poignant in its brevity.
Wrapping up is an opposite tale, a story of a Kal-El who didn't get to grow up with the Kents' love for his entire childhood, and who was molded by external factors into the antithesis of what the Superman we know and love. That is the Superman from Tal-Rho's world, who killed the Lois that was John Henry's wife and Natalie's mother. Plus it offers a glimpse of someone who is very interested in getting that darker Superman for nefarious purposes. Overall the story is a very nice way to tie it to the world at large while also diving into what makes Clark and Lois great as a couple and as heroes in their own rights.
