HBOMax has certainly been busy with the series Peacemaker, co-helmed by The Suicide Squad's director, James Gunn and producer Peter Safran. The series' eight episodes will provide an origin story to John Cena's titular character, showing him as a man who will stop at nothing to achieve peace, even if it means killing people to achieve that. Apart from Cena, one other person had previously been attached to the series, Steve Agee; both he and Cena will be repising their roles from The Suicide Squad, with Agee playing John Economos.
Now, four new cast members have been announced and are set to star in the new series: Danielle Brooks, Robert Patrick, Jennifer Holland, and Chris Conrad. While we don't have many details on the characters' descriptions, we do know who they will be playing. Danielle Brooks, of Orange is the New Black fame, will be starring as Leota Adebayo. Robert Patrick, who is known for his roles in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, as well as HBO's Perry Mason, will be playing Auggie Smith.
Jennifer Holland, who was previously in Brightburn and American Horror Story, will also be reprising her role in The Suicide Squad, as Emilia Harcourt. Rounding off the list is Chris Conrad from Perpetual Grace, LTD, and Patriot, who will be playing Adrian Chase, also known as Vigilante.
These new additions certainly give plenty to think about in regards to the series. Other details are being kept under wraps, but you can be sure that as soon as more information becomes available, you'll be able to read about it here.
