As the only CW DC show that was slated to appear at Comic Con At Home, we knew we'd be getting some news, so let's dive into it. There's three main takeaways to the event so we'll take it by parts.
We still have a third of the season to go through. To date we've seen ten episodes, and five more remain, so the trailer shows what we can expect. We can see that Sara and Ava's nuptials will be interrupted by none other than Bishop, plus some scenes for next episode's bowling adventure, some hallucinogenic mushroom trip, and the bulk of it is also spent taking a look at Constantine's descent into dark magic that is putting the rest of the Legends in danger. Check it out here:
Speaking of Constantine, it looks like his time in the Waverider is coming to an end. It's a well-known fact, both in the show's canon and outside of it, that the cast has largely changed over the years, bringing in a wide roster of people and then watching them leave when their stories were finished, whether for a short stint or a long haul. We knew that Dominic Purcell would be leaving after this season, and while it seems that Constantine will be leaving too, Matt Ryan will be staying. He will instead be playing a whole new character, that of Dr. Gwyn Davies, an eccentric scientist from the early 20th century who might be the team’s only hope next season. Ryan had this to say on the change:
As everyone who loves him knows, in the end, John Constantine will walk his path alone. The time has come for John to part ways with the Legends, and for me to part ways with John. I’m really excited to be creating this new role on the show and having some fun with it — discovering how this new character fits in and causes some trouble for the Legends.
Season 7 will also be providing a new change, that of Gideon. The AI has been a constant throughout the show, helping the Legends with pertinent information, quips, and sometimes appearing as a human form. Though it looks like this time, Gideon will be taking a human form for season 7.She will be played by Amy Louise Pemberton, who has been providing the voice for the character for the past 6 seasons.
Lastly, the show will be releasing a Mixtape of sort, a compilation of 21 songs from the show until now.
