The Doom Patrol family is about to become a little bigger with the addition of a new mysterious character in the form of Madame Rouge. Michelle Gomez, best known for her roles in The Flight Attendant and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, has been cast to portray the character in the upcoming third season of the HBO Max exclusive series. Gomez’s character is described as a
Complicated and electrifying eccentric, who arrives at Doom Manor with a very specific mission… if only she could remember it.
It’s currently unknown if Madame Rouge will be an ally or an adversary to the titular team of misfit superheroes.
Prior to her upcoming role in Doom Patrol, Gomez previously appeared as Missy, the first female incarnation of the Master, in the eighth, ninth, and tenth seasons of Doctor Who. In 2016, she received a BAFTA nomination for her role in the BBC sci-fi series. Her additional television credits include Fox’s Gotham and The Brink, as well as the UK series, Bad Education, Green Wing, and Feel the Force.
