While we work to cover the three main networks with DC Comics-based shows, The DC/Warner Brothers reach is still vast and many networks want a grab at a DC Comics property. So when development on a Sandman show was announced, it's no surprise that Netflix took the leap and snatched it up! Today we are getting our first details on the production of Sandman. Produced by Phantom Four, Sandman is helmed by David Goyer, Neil Gaiman and Lian Smith. While no cast has been announced yet, we do know the show is set to start production this month in the United Kingdom! Here's the logline for the show:
A wizard attempting to capture Death to bargain for eternal life traps her younger brother Dream instead. Fearful for his safety, the wizard kept him imprisoned in a glass bottle for decades. After his escape, Dream, also known as Morpheus, goes on a quest for his lost objects of power.
