Warner Brothers and ViacomCBS are shopping around the idea of selling The CW. What this means for all the DCTV properties is uncertain.

New Madame X Series Announced for HBO Max

HBO Max just keeps pulling out comic-book adaptations one after another! Madame X, also known as Madame Xanadu, is the newest character to get a series of her own. According to SyFy, she is an “ageless, immortal sorceress who can use tarot cards to tell the future, among other abilities”.

Those familiar with Madame X might remember from Young Justice, where she briefly appeared in the Season 1 episode, “Denial”. She’s also popped up on HBO Max’s Swamp Thing as a recurring character. Given that both these appearances were small, we’re both curious and excited to see her as a protagonist in her own series and what mischief she may encounter.

The future hour-long drama series will be developed by J.J. Abrams (Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker), with writer-director Angela Robinson (True Blood) writing and executive-producing. While no release date has yet been stated for the series, we’re very much looking forward to seeing how the series will come about.
