Warner Brothers and ViacomCBS are shopping around the idea of selling The CW. What this means for all the DCTV properties is uncertain.

No DC Fandome this year

Warner Bros. Discovery released a statement today confirming that there would be no Fandome scheduled for this year. With the pandemic and the shift to online presentations, Fandome had become the answer for DC to be able to present their upcoming slate of projects and drumming up excitement with big names and exciting appearances. With the merger and the state of flux for a lot of DC projects, it seems that WBD decided to cancel Fandome. Although there was nothing scheduled for 2022, many were expecting for the new tradition to continue. WBD released a statement regarding the news:

With the return of in person events, Warner Bros. Discovery is excited to be able to engage with our fans live at numerous comic-cons around the world and will not be scheduling DC FanDome for 2022

Which means that any and all upcoming projects will likely be announced at traditional Comic Con events. Although there wasn't a very large presence at SDCC, there is a chance that NYCC might bring some news. Were you hoping for Fandome to continue? Let us know your thoughts below and in our forum!
