Warner Brothers and ViacomCBS are shopping around the idea of selling The CW. What this means for all the DCTV properties is uncertain.

"Stargirl" Casts Tim Gabriel as Obsidian

The world of Stargirl is about to become a little bigger with a new addition to this ever-expanding universe in the wider DC multiverse!

Tim Gabriel has joined the upcoming third season of Stargirl, which is one of the hottest superhero shows on The CW right now. Gabriel will portray Todd Rice, better known as Obsidian by comic book fans. He's the son of the original Golden Age Green Lantern, Alan Scott, and the twin brother of Jennie-Lynn Hayden. Hayden was a major character in the prior season played by Ysa Penarejo.

Just like in the comics, Todd will be a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and wields "strange and uncontrollable shadow abilities''. He's been living on the streets and searching for his sister, but ultimately falls into the hands of the Helix Institute for Youth Rehabilitation. The mysterious Mister Bones, played by Keith David, is determined to understand the mystery behind Todd's powers.
