There are a lot of great new shows that are coming to the various networks with DC Comics properties, but one that is certainly getting the fast track as well as much of the hype is Superman & Lois. The two main characters are easily known simply by the title and a while back we were able to report that the show was looking to add two teen-aged boys to the show. Crisis fans will note that Superman was surprised when Lois asked him to bring home food for the "Boys". Beyond these four characters only assumptions were being made but today, Primetimer.com has unearthed a few more roles:
- Martha Kent: is living alone on the farm where he grew up in Smallville.
- General Sam Lane: is in the picture and knows about Clark.
- Lana Lang: a banker, still living in Smallville, with her husband.
- Kyle Cushing, a firefighter, husband to Lana and a drunk.
- Sarah: Lana and Kyle's 14 year old daughter who tried to take her own life recently.
- Sophie: Lana and Kyle's 8 year old daughter.
Finally, we are also learning some new details about Clark and Lois' sons.
Jonathan and Jordan Kent, who are thirteen [years old] and very different -- both physically and otherwise. Jonathan is the popular one, an all-star athlete who's about to enter the Varsity team, while Jordan is more introverted, anxiety prone, and very much into computers and video games. They don't know who their father really is... yet. And they may or may not have inherited his powers.
This is certainly a different take on the Superman mythos and we are excited for it! Its about time the Big Blue Boy Scout became a father and ushered in a new generation of heroes! I was expecting a Chris Kent or Damian Wayne instead of Jordan, whom I think will be more like Alex Danvers.
