After a stellar premiere that saw the show trending for both its fantastic opening as well as the heartwarming homage scene with Clark's original suit, it comes as no surprise that The CW has renewed Superman & Lois for a second season. The show is clearly successful in both the storytelling and the actors are phenomenal, we're speculating that this show will likely become the new centerpiece for the Arrowverse shows, considering that it bridges the gap between the older generation of traditional heroes such as Superman, and the younger, up-and-coming ones.

Mark Pedowitz, the Chairman and CEO of The CWalso released a statement regarding the renewal:

The phenomenal multiplatform debut of SUPERMAN & LOIS, which delivered for us in a big way on both a linear and streaming basis, is a testament to the creativity, hard work and dedication of the talented people who worked tirelessly in front of and behind the camera, especially in this challenging environment.
