Viola Davis to Star In Amanda Waller Spin-Off Series at HBO Max

The DC Extended Universe is slowly expanding in regards to its television department, and a brand new series is in the works about a well-known supervillain that we've grown familiar with in past movies.

HBO Max is reportedly developing a spin-off series to the Suicide Squad franchise centering around Amanda Waller. The mastermind behind Task Force X, the cold and calculating government agent official will finally lead her own project after being featured in two movies and one prior television show. The series is reportedly described as being less of a comedy when compared to The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker.

Viola Davis is not only in talks to star as “the Wall”, but she'll possibly be an executive producer on the project as well. Watchmen writer, Christal Henry, will write and produce the potential series too, with Watchmen also coming from Warner Brothers Television. Other executive producers include Peter Safran and James Gunn, the director of The Suicide Squad.
