Superman & Lois features a fantastic cast of characters, and we have one more that was announced: Angus Macfadyen will be playing Jor-El, Clark's Kryptonian father. Of course, the show takes place long after Krypton was destroyed, but thanks to the Fortress of Solitude, he still lives on in a way as a highly advanced AI, and even Supergirl had Allura to help her out with advice, so we can imagine Jor-El will be on hand to teach more about Krypton.

Macfadyen has a long list of credits, including as Robert the Bruce in Braveheart. He will be appearing in Superman & Lois' second episode, Heritage, airing on March 2nd.
