Warner Brothers and ViacomCBS are shopping around the idea of selling The CW. What this means for all the DCTV properties is uncertain.

Erik Valdez Joins Superman & Lois as Kyle Cushing

More news coming out today for The CW's straight to series new show, Superman and Lois! Just yesterday we learned that Emmanuelle Chriqui will play the iconic role of Lana Lang-Cushing, but according to Deadline.com today, we are getting her other (maybe not better) half. Erik Valdez has been cast for the role of Kyle Cushing, a Smallville local who doesn't always trust folks from the big city. Married to Lana, his role is described as:

Smallville’s fire chief and local hero who’s seen his fair share of tragedy. Small town raised with small town beliefs, Kyle doesn’t care much for the big city and often butts heads with people that come from it.

Superman and Lois will begin full series production on their initial thirteen episode order as soon as the covid crisis is over. This is a departure from filming a pilot first and then going to series. It shows just how much faith The CW leadership has in Todd Helbing, Executive Producer, and his team, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Geoff Johns, not to mention the already beloved, Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch!

More casting news... i am glad to see things moving forward behind the scenes. He is 40, so in the same age range as the actress playing Lana... just 4 years younger.
