Warner Brothers and ViacomCBS are shopping around the idea of selling The CW. What this means for all the DCTV properties is uncertain.

I'm looking at all the content available or soon to be available. Frankly, not all of it is to my liking, which counter-intuitively, is pretty darn great. We live in an age where there is enough DC related content to fill a wide spectrum of style and tone.

I was a happy kid in the late 70s with Wonder Woman and Batman reruns. (Plus a rather muscular green guy with anger issues, but that's another comic company... ) Now, I can't possibly keep up with it all!

Providing coverage for this multitude is an ambitious undertaking. Thanks to the crew here for creating a one stop shop for it all.

Same here as WW and Batman reruns were on WNEW-TV channel 5 (now Fox 5 WNYW). The big green guy was on WPIX channel 11 (pre-CW and WB). But, Batman would go to PIX in the late 80's in time for the Michael Keaton film. Turns out Batman reruns were on channel 11 as far back as the early 1970's along with George Reeves' Adventures of Superman. That show would move to WWOR-TV channel 9 at about the same time as Batman for Sunday airings. This was when 9 was a competitor for independent TV with 11 as 5 was moving closer to being a Fox flagship.

These days these 3 stations are corporate shadows of their once great selves, given 5 and 9 are co-owned by Fox and 11 was recently sold to Scripps Howard.

Today of course, WW kicks off MeTV's Super Sci-Fi Saturday Night at 8:00PM EST**...for me it's on full power WJLP-TV 33.1, which is available in most of the NYC area, including my home area of SW CT. Batman and Superman are on Heroes and Icons (H&I) on Saturday mornings, although the shows are time compressed..YUCK...while Wondy is seen in remastered 1080i (hubba hubba!) on MeTV. My cable service recently added H&I to their lineup...it's a digital subchannel of WWOR-TV in my area channel 9.4. As for the big green man, well...stay tuned.

(**UPDATE In a shocking twist of developments, Wonder Woman is OFF Super SciFi Saturday Night on MeTV. Instead, WW has been bumped over to H&I on Sunday afternoons starting tomorrow. Replacing her...a second hour of The Three Stooges. Super Sci-Fi Saturday Night instead starts with Svengoolie, the Chicago-based iconic horror movie host who combines cheesy horror movies, with some classics, with goofy humor.)

And...at least for me, I have those three shows in my DVD collection along with The Flash, and despite its overt preaching over the last two seasons, Supergirl. Season 5 has been a nice change of pace with the warnings about over reliance on social media and the topsy-turvy way things are since Crisis.
