Warner Brothers and ViacomCBS are shopping around the idea of selling The CW. What this means for all the DCTV properties is uncertain.

Hartley Sawyer has been fired for sexist, racist and homoohobic tweets from an inactivated Twitter account that resurfaced. Apparently after he was reportedly called out by costar Candace Patton, who plays Iris, for his past behavior, after being outted by Shai Jackson for his years-old tweets... or so I understand.

I assume they will announced he and Sue eloped and moved far, far away when the new season starts. Provided they don't recast.

And yet, James Gunn is back at Marvel.

I thought we had moved beyond that game.

Now, if he was fired for current behavior, that changes things.

Ah well. That is one way to reduce cast size....

Cancel culture, right or wrong, is hard to predict or navigate and is often unforgiving.

I find it reminiscent of Louis C K., as Hartley's posts seemed like material from an insensitive stand up routine that were not uncommon when the posts were made.

I believe people can change and some do change. Obviously, not all.

Forgiveness is divine and quite rare!

@Liberty Prime... Like you said, it is one way to reduce the cast. Provided the part is not recast. It's likely easier to write him off the show to start a new life with Sue.

It kind of puts the lie to Ralph's story arc.

When he started out, he was a real jerk. He realized it, and chose to grow and become more than he was.

The moral of Hartley's real life story is quite different. And it's hard for me not to think less of the cast and production team. :(
