Netflix has been crushing it lately with their original programing. "Stranger Things", "Chilling Adventures of Sabrina", and most recently the global mega hit, "The Witcher" (for more on "The Witcher", head to our sister site TheWitcher.tv). With "The Witcher" esspecially, Netflix is grabbing on to a whole lore of material that they can use to show build. One of the next big projects that falls into this "existing content" category is "The Sandman". We reported the show's synopsis recently, but today we are learning that the production of the show has been pushed back to May. This would make a lot of sense in our minds considering no leads have been cast yet! As a reminder, here's what the show will be about:
A wizard attempting to capture Death to bargain for eternal life traps her younger brother Dream instead. Fearful for his safety, the wizard kept him imprisoned in a glass bottle for decades. After his escape, Dream, also known as Morpheus, goes on a quest for his lost objects of power.
Produced by Phantom Four, Sandman is helmed by David Goyer, Neil Gaiman and Lian Smith. Let us know what you think in the comments below and in the forum! Don't forget to follow us on Twitter for the latest news!
