There’s something new coming to DC Universe starting at the end of the month. After last year’s announcement at NYCC that DC Universe was looking to expand to unscripted shows, we’ve now got our first show to premiere: DC Universe All Star Games.
Through this show you will be seeing famous DC fans playing game campaigns using the 1980’s DC Heroes RPG. The show will be executive produced by Sam Witwer, who fans may know from Supergirl and Smallville, as well as Freddie Prinze Jr, from Star Wars Rebels.
The first season will be a 5 part mini-series called The Breakfast League. Joining both Witwer and Prinze Jr are Vanessa Marshall, Clare Grant and WWE superstar Xavier Woods. They will be playing as high school kids from Gotham who discover they are the World’s Greatest Super Heroes while in Saturday detention. As to what happens next, we’ll have to wait and see.
It’s sure shaping up to be quite an entertaining new show, and we’re looking forward to the premiere. The new anthology series will be premiering exclusively on DC Universe February 28th and new episodes will air on the following Fridays.
For now, you can check out a preview of the show below:
