Katherine McNamara accepts a role on Urban Legends reboot. This is causing fans of the possible Green Arrow spin off show to worry about it's future.

Ruby Rose Exits Batwoman

Ruby Rose has hung up her Batwoman cowl ahead of Season 2. The surprising news comes as a shock to everyone, and while we don't have all of the details yet, we know that Season 2 is still happening, and that the role will be recast. After a fantastic first season run where we saw Batwoman as never before, it's certainly tough hearing the news. However, we know that these things happen, and wish Ruby Rose all the best in her future endeavors. Deadline.com first reported the news, and we also have the official statement from Ruby Rose on her exit:

I have made the very difficult decision to not return to Batwoman next season. This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for the cast, crew and everyone involved with the show in both Vancouver and in Los Angeles. I am beyond appreciative to Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter and Caroline Dries for not only giving me this incredible opportunity, but for welcoming me into the DC universe they have so beautifully created. Thank you Peter Roth and Mark Pedowitz and the teams at Warner Bros. and The CW who put so much into the show and always believed in me. Thank you to everyone who made season one a success – I am truly grateful.

Warner Brothers Television also had this to say:

Warner Bros. Television, The CW and Berlanti Productions thank Ruby for her contributions to the success of our first season and wish her all the best. The studio and network are firmly committed to Batwoman’s second season and long-term future, and we — along with the show’s talented creative team — look forward to sharing its new direction, including the casting of a new lead actress and member of the LGBTQ community, in the coming months.

That was a shocker news in the morning.
My detailed "statement" about this can be found on the FORUM of the Batwoman.tv partner site.

I was quite upset when Bleeding Cool posted that CW would be doing World's with Batwoman and Superman, instead of Supergirl. I so wanted to see Rose and Melissa team up. These makes that pale in comparison. This is terrible news. I can only imagine what is actually behind this decision. Bullying? Health? You typically don't walk away from a series or contractual obligations. I wish her well but this news sucks.
