Warner Brothers and ViacomCBS are shopping around the idea of selling The CW. What this means for all the DCTV properties is uncertain.

Stargirl Season 2 Casts Eclipso, The Shade, and More

The world of Stargirl is about to get much bigger with a new cast of villainous characters that are sure to get in the way of the JSA. Nick Tarabay and Jonathan Cake are set to portray Eclipso and the Shade, and both will appear in the series in recurring roles. Both actors have previously portrayed Captain Boomerang and Blackbeard respectively in the Arrowverse. Meanwhile, Ysa Penarejo has also been cast as a currently undisclosed character set to join the second season.

Are you excited to see Eclipso and the Shade make their Stargirl debuts? What kind of pandemonium do you expect these characters to bring? Who could Penarejo possibly be playing this season? I think season 1 of both shows were superior to their second seasons, but I agree the noticeable deterioration was in subsequent seasons and not actually season 2. But, I do think Flash was premature with going forward with Flashpoint. If it wasn't broke, there was nothing to fix. Arrow was somewhat unwatchable in seasons 4-6, at least in comparison to the earlier seasons. My hope for Stargirl is it manages to build on season 1 and not lose any momentum.

I wouldn't call Season 2 of Arrow or Flash a slump, exactly. I'd say Season 3 is where things really took a dip for them. But yeah, Legends actually got better in its second year.

I hope thus show succeeds where others in Arrowverse failed and avoids the sophomore slump.

Note: I acknowledge that LoT actually imoroved in S2.

I think the leadership of this series is very and it stands a good chance of getting even better.
